Core Core Values:

   - Authenticism

   - Initiative

   - Antagonism

   - Role-playing

Authenticism:

Gor is a fantasy (or if you prefer; a Sci-fi) setting ... and realism is an awkward word for use with any fantasy setting; and so? I prefer to use the term 'Authenticism'. Authenticism is one of the core values of Sabina's band. Do what feels authentic; do not sell your character's reactions short. How would you react if you were 'downed' by an archer?

 - How would a panther girl treat someone who tried to enslave them?

 - How cold is it in the Northern Forests at night? How cold is swimming in the stream?

 - How many passangs/miles is it to the nearest city from our camp?

 - How many *days* would it take to travel back if your character were captured but managed to escape?

 - How hard is it to get a steel collar off your throat?

 - How long does that tabuk ( or other animal) you hunted take to rot before the meat starts stinking?

Authenticism is about how things appear within the context of the setting as written. It's about not intentionally upsetting that for personal convenience. It isn't about a hard set rule of Panther Girls not having Black Wine ... it's being able to look at a map, knowing where black wine comes from (Thentis), knowing where panther girls live (The Northern Forests), and being able to carry on a conversation about -why- a given group of panther girls shouldn't be able to aquire any.

Initiative:

Members of the band have an obligation to taking initiative and making things happen. We aren't all here to RP sitting around the fire (although that is sometimes fun or relaxing) -- we're here to RP something eventful. Make things happen. Take risks. Invite eachother. Use your resources. Make friends with other role-players in the group... make friends (and enemies) with other characters in the group. You don't have to wait till someone else gets something started -- and if someone else does start something? Play it out! See what happens.

Antagonism:

Every story ever told, every movie you ever watched, every meaningful event in history, and the most satisfying sexual experiences are all based on conflict, and conflict resolution. Members of Sabina's band have an *obligation* to antagonism and pushing things in the most exciting direction possible.

Don't let things set. Don't be dry or boring in RP -- when someone's character pushes? Don't defuse the situation.. don't discourage the behavior push back. Keep Gor dangerous. Push your luck. Take the risk.

Role-playing:

We're all role-players here. That means what happens IC between our characters is not our true feelings toward a person OOC. In Gor, just because my character has a deep attraction to a man IC ... doesn't mean I want to be his slave OOC. Just because my character kills someone ... doesn't mean I OOCly hate that player; who could even be one of my best friends OOC whom I've known for years.

We play Gor authentically. We play Gor for excitement. Sometimes shit happens. Enjoy the drama while it lasts. If I beat the shit out of a slave girl for talking back to me? It doesn't mean we didn't greatly enjoy the RP we had together.

Remmeber:

 - It doesn't mean we hate eachother.

 - We're just actors in a story - like watching Game of Thrones or Walking Dead. It's just role-play and we're all OOCly consenting adults, enjoying a Gorean environment.

 - Keep your IC and your OOC seperate for the sake of all involved.
